Explore Park has always been one of our favorite spots for families and minis alike. With it's countryside looks, it boast cute old farm house with barns and a mill that makes for a perfect backdrop for photos. Best times are mid to late October to November for peak foliage looks with all the gorgeous fall colors and leaves on the grounds make it perfect for fall photos.
Back Creek Valley Overlook
Roanoke, VA
This cute spot we love for all the mountain views as far as the eye can see. Just off the parkway in Roanoke and just up the road from Explore Park, Back Creek Valley is a cute spot at one of the overlooks. With trees, tall grass (when not mowed) open fields, dirt roads and hay bales make for cute country side backdrop. This area is great for families, Seniors, couples and more.
Gardens at Virginia Western Community College
Roanoke, VA
This gorgeous spot is located at Virginia Western Community College here in Roanoke with cute gazebo, stone steps with greenhouse, benches throughout, cute small benches for kids, and cute little bridge are great for all fun families and couples, senior sessions and engagements too. Spring and Fall the flowers are best in bloom and so pretty then.
Green Hill Park
Salem, VA
This cute park located in Salem, has many fun spots through out with open fields, walkway paths, and spots close to the river including a cute bridge perfect for family photos and more. This great area works great for all fun types of sessions and great in the fall time as well when leaves fall and start to change too.
Carvins Cove
Botetourt County, VA
This spot is nestled in the back side of Botetourt County a beautiful lake area with cute docks, paths through the woods and small side beaches makes this place amazing to use. The area does change throughout the year and the water rises and in covers the embankments to when the water is lower and you can walk out closer to the water among the many side beaches. Up past the parking area is a picnic and shelter area where there are few more fun spots with views of the mountains and another fun dock as well. These are perfect for families, couples, engagements, Seniors and more. Come during the fall months to see all the gorgeous fall colors among the trees and mountains side too.
Peaks of Otter
Bedford, VA
This cute spot is nestled just off the parkway in the Bedford area. A cute lodge host many fun spots around with cute boardwalk and spots around the lake with beautiful trees and views of the lake and mountains around. These are great for families, couples, engagements, maternity, seniors and more.
Three Oaks Manor
madison Heights, VA
This is one of our newest venue we have started using for fun sessions. This cute little greenhouse is located in Madison Heights area of Lynchburg and is super cute for all types of fun sessions from families, couples, momma's and little ones, engagements as well as boudoir sessions too. They change up their set ups through out the year varying the seasons. They also host small elopements and micro weddings here, so bride to be's would be super perfect to tie the knot at for those who are looking for a more intimate location for your upcoming I do's.
The Vaughn House
Forest, VA
Another cute little greenhouse we have used for a few years now. Nestled in Forest in the Lynchburg area host this super cute greenhouse with plants, hammocks, egg chairs and the occasional chickens that might cross your path while there. This cute space is perfect for families, couples, engagements, maternity, boudoir and more. Changing out their looks throughout the year to match the seasons as well makes for cute photos during the year like mums and fall colors to cute set ups for Christmas or cute simple looks for Spring and late with cute small white shear curtains and hammocks.
Atelier Studio & Gathering Space
Lynchburg, VA
The Atelier Studio is located in downtown Lynchburg area is a great open space studio with two rooms. This space is great due to its many great windows that allow natural light perfect for all types of photos done here. This space has chairs, couches, plants, small bed with paper backdrops that can be used for photos too. A cute shiplap wall on one side and then cute accent wall on the other used with many chairs or couches makes for great photos here. This space is great for families, maternities, engagements and couples to boudoir and branding/headshot sessions makes this great space to use for just about anything you can think of. They also host cute setups through out the year that can be used for fun sessions too.
Mike's Country Market and Greenhouse
Salem, VA
Mike's Country Market and Greenhouse is a cute little market with greenhouse in the Salem area close to Lewis Gale Hospital. They sell tons of super cute flowers, plants, seeds and more throughout there store and the greenhouse. The greenhouse has two separate rooms full of different plants and flowers making both cute for photos. This greenhouse is perfect for families, littles, couples, maternity and more. Through out the year the change up the bigger room with different seasons like mums and pumpkins for fall and poinsettias and Christmas Trees during Christmas times. This cute greenhouse works for anytime of the year and awesome for rainy days too.
Downtown Roanoke

Downtown Roanoke host many fun spots around town that a great for any type of photos. Spots include Elm Wood Amphitheater area, few fun mural spots in two areas, center in the square courtyard area, as well as cute painted houses that are super cute backdrops, there is also spots around Hotel Roanoke and the bridge area that make perfect photo ops as well. These are great options for families, couples, engagements, seniors, modeling and more.
Ravens Roost
Lyndhurst, VA
Located just off the parkway close to Lynchburg and Stanton, has picturesque and beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Parking is right at the site so very little walking is needed and soon as you get out of your car you have a breathe taking views. Rocks, trails and cute tree nestled is perfect for those sunset photos.
Old City Cemetery

Located near downtown Lynchburg, this historic cemetery may be bit odd but so beautiful with stone archway, gazebo, benches, old cobble roadway, church and even a swing makes for fun photos and even get to learn some history while there too.

This beautiful location is nestled on gorgeous Smith Mountain Lake. Heading down past the residential homes and golf courses, is Mariner's Landing at the Pointe. With this cute little area is perfect setting for photos by the lake with grassy area, gazebo, docks, and even a cute small beach area that makes for great photos of families, couples, engagements and more there.
Smith Mountain Lake Community Park
Moneta, VA
Another super cute place perfect for photos, nestled on the beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, community park is a great place with docks right by the lake, pathways along the trees and small beach side for strolls along the waterside too. A great spot for families, couples, engagements, and even elopements too.
